| Speakers Needed | ||

The SQA Education Committee is compiling a database of speakers who
would be willing to give presentations at SQA training courses and for
other professional and non-profit organizations. Based on the EDCOM
surveys returned at the Seattle meeting, the SQA membership feels that
offering presentations to other organizations would be excellent
outreach. If you are interested in speaking please send your name,
address, phone number, fax number, email address and area of expertise
to Debi Garvin fax (541) 352-7121 or email prcwcqti@gorge.net

PRCSQA would like to thank all of our Sponsors for making "Sippin
Cider in Seattle" a success. The presence of the Pacific Chapter was
very obvious at the annual meeting. Thanks to Leslie Kvasnicka for
presenting us with "glow in the dark" PRCSQA stickers, Qualls Ag Labs
for many boxes of delicious apples, and the Applets and Cotlets folks. Cider tasting sponsors were:

1998 Annual SQA Meeting in Denver
If you have any ideas on how to improve the SQA meeting then you need to become a part of the team! The Planning Committee will meet in Denver on January 23, 1998. This planning event will be held at the hotel where our next meeting will take place. Come and join us and help organize the 1998 SQA meeting. Out last meeting on November 21, 1997 in Arlington VA was a great opportunity to evaluate the Seattle meeting and plan for the Denver event. We will be looking for more ideas and people to support the evolution of the SQA meeting in January. In addition to the January meeting there will be an April meeting in the San Francisco area and a July meeting in Denver. Remember that you don't have to attend all the meetings in order to participate, you just must be willing to fully participate from a distance. For information on this event and how you can become active in shaping our next SQA meeting, contact: Leslie Kvasnicka
