The next meeting of the PRCSQA will be Monday, June 22, 1998. The host
for this meeting will be Panlabs Biosafety, 11804 North Creek Parkway
South, Bothell, WA. |
On April 1-2, 1998 PRCSQA and Genentech hosted the national SQA board
and regulatory review committee as the moved their meetings from the
east coast for the first time in many years. An added benefit for the
PRCSQA was the opportunity to have SQA president Robert McCormick speak
at our April 3rd meeting on the approach SQA will follow in soliciting
nominations for a national office this year. Job descriptions have been
written for each position which will be provided to the nominating
committee as a guideline. The national newsletter will invite
volunteers to approach the nominating committee if they are interested
in running for office. In addition a representative from each regional
chapter will be a member of the nominating committee. Marlys Okada has
agreed to represent PRCSQA on this very important committee. Thank you
Marlys. If you would like to run for a national office or have some good
ideas for potential candidates please contact Marlys at (415)855-5647 or
email marlys.okada@roche.com.
James Carignan also updated the attendees on National Laboratory
Accreditation. He encouraged the membership to express their thoughts
on this issue as currently it appeared there was a strong indication GLP
laboratories may be affected.
Thank you Genentech and especially Karen Young for providing such an
excellent setting for the national board and Regulatory Review meetings
and also for our meeting April 3rd. A summary of the PRCSQA meeting
seminar - "Handling Difficult People" is found on page 3 of the Left Coast Occasional and on our website.
